Toxoplasmosis on Rat
Toxoplasmosis is a disease caused by the parasite of Toxoplasma Gondii, which has been known causes to birth defects (congenital abnormalities) in infant and miscariage (abortion) in pregnant women. On the cycles of toxoplasma godii, rat have on the first chain cycles as the first hospes of this parasite, then move to the rat after fed rat. The parasite then out from cat feces and because the cat never go to bath, this parasite can exist on the cat fur. People who have cat as their pet can exposed to this parasite and infect by toxoplasma.
Rat that is infected by this parasite have abnormal behavior, not other normal rat that afraid from the rat, infected rat tend go to close to the rat in order fed by cat. This changes of rat behavior is caused by toxoplasma infection to the rat brain become damage and change their behavior.
